Jonathan Frazier
Skyline Drive - April 2009
Works in progress

In late April 2009, Jonathan returned to Skyline Drive to work on some more
original oil paintings to add to a series. Many of these paintings depict views
from the overlooks along the drive.
These are all
"works in progress" - if you look close enough , you'll see bugs, grass,
and other debris stuck in the paint, a natural result of painting out doors - when these
paintings are dry, the debris will be wiped from the surface, and additional paint will
be used to further define forms and strengthen color relationships.
Skyline Drive is a two lane road that runs about 100 miles throught the Shenandoah
National Park in West Virginia. It meanders along the spine of the mountain ridge,
and has many scenic overlooks.
